Chapter Six: Dakshina

I'm on a new computer now, with a brand new copy of Microsoft Word. Unfortunately, the Word spellchecker has decided to freeze and crash every single time that it encounters "Drupada" in the text that I'm editing. Every. Single. Time.

Guess how much it sucked to edit this chapter.

I had a total "OMG" moment when I saw you updated! Man, was it worth the long wait ( not to say you should keep us waiting).. it was everything I hoped it would be and more.

Thanks for the great read. Oh, and there are so many little details that you include that are just delightful (like the chocolates on the ship- now, maybe Arjuna can go please his Mom with a box full of chocolates ;)). I love your characterizations, and I can't really say how much I enjoyed this.

Was glad to see an update after a long wait. Great read. The feelings of each character is brought out well, for instance Arjuna feeling threatened/uncomfortable when faced with someone equally skillfull and competent. Or the way Duryodhan is sensing opportunities and calculating possibilities. I think the workings of the minds of the major players and their consequent actions is comming out well. I also like the way you dont paint characters black or white but rather as various grey shades which makes them more realistic. Thats what makes the Mahabharata so powerful.
I never liked the tendency of TV serials on Mahabharata to paint kauravas "always evil" and pandavas "always good".

Keep up the good work. Wish it was already a book and I could read it over a weekend.
